As we are all acutely aware, the last quarter has seen unprecedented times as the world has responded to challenges presented by the COVID-19 crisis. TurbAero has not been immune to these issues with the principle impact being delays in the fabrication of components for our prototype engine, caused by the shut-down of several of our major component suppliers. The net impact of this on our development program timeline is an estimated delay of approximately six-months, moving our target to have our prototype’s first run on the test stand to year-end 2020. While this is frustrating given how close we are to this milestone event, it is due to events totally beyond our control.
While the delays to the prototyping of our 200hp launch aviation product have been frustrating, the technical development program is still progressing in a pleasing manner. The construction of the prototype and first testing of this engine later this year will be a significant milestone for the company.
Finally, I am pleased to advise that our community engagement activities will increase in the coming months with the launch of our new website.
